So, you’re wondering what kind of place this is? Honestly? So do I…Basically this started as an excuse for me to get a place to try out Frontpage features on, and have my own little place to experiment. After I was done with that, I figured it was actually quite handy to have a site to do whatever I want and test things. Forums, blogs, webcam scripts and lots of other types of things was tried out and it was all pretty fun. Useless, but fun.
Somewhere in the testing, I made a comic site for Ithos and because I made it in Frontpage it caused some ugly problems whenever I wanted to update the main site or his site. That’s when I figured I had to switch over to something that wasn’t using Frontpage, and jan kept bugging me about doing a blog, where we could both add stuff. WordPress seemed to be the best choice, and I started using that back in August 2006. After that Jan and I added a few blog posts, and Ithos started producing a comic that we put up on the blog (which is in itself a horrible idea). Psyched came in and added some of his brilliant music, and we now had blogs, comics and music here!
In March I made a new site for the new comic to Ithos, meaning I could finally remove all the blog posts with comics. I also wanted to update to the newest version of WordPress, and decided to make a clean install. This is mostly because I failed once at upgrading the old version, and it removed a lot of trash lying on the old blog install.That’s where we are now, on the new clean version and we’ll add more content as time go.
Ithos is working on his comic, and I hope our musicians will add some more music as well. That’s basically the mantra of this place, if you make something we’ll put it up here. This is a small site for friends, and everyone is welcome to participate with whatever they want. If it’s only comments, or posting videos, we’ll take it all. The subjects can be about everything from gaming to the hunger crisis in Sudan.
Of course I have to thank jan, Ithos and Psyched. Without them there wouldn’t be anything here. They have bugged me into doing this, and provided content for me. They are the core of this site now.Hope you enjoy some of the stuff here, and check back often. You never know when we’ll add something new.
Funny thing is, if you look up the definition of an Asylum you’ll find this:
1: an inviolable place of refuge and protection giving shelter to criminals and debtors :
2: a place of retreat and security
3: an institution for the care of the destitute or sick and especially the insane
